This is my first ever slow cooker experience, I bought a digital version so I could follow recipes and time them exactly as required, so if it says 6 hours on slow then you can set it at 6 hours and if you not home then when finished it will automatically turn to keep warm for and hour. I have cooked a whole chicken, 1.6kg on 7 hours slow, placed the chicken on top of carrots/onions/celery/garlic which kept it raised above the juices as it cooked and made a great gravy. I have tried beef bourguignon it was fine but made the mistake (I am told) of buying too good a cut meat, I used topside only to find the meat wasn't as 'melt in your mouth' as people have described - apparently the cheaper the beef cut the better so will try again. I love the idea of putting everything in, set the timer and sit down to a well cooked hearty meal. The lids of slow cookers are meant to be loose fitting but this one is also a bit wobbly, over such a long period of cooking I don't think it matters but the smell of cooking is quite strong. So far I love this slow cooker, the ability to time exactly is very handy and the automatic keep warm is brilliant when you out and about, the box says recipes included which was a bit of a stretch as I thought there would be a small booklet included, basically there are 3 recipes at the end of the instruction leaflet and one of those is baked potatoes. Wobbly lid brings it to 4 stars as a friend bought a mechanical different brand and her lid fits flat.

Have used my slow cooker a few times and all was very easy to operate and the food was delicious. I initially thought something was wrong as the lid didn't properly fit, it was slightly rocky but I folded two bits of foil on either end and all seems good. No heat escaped. Good size for a family. Would highly recommend

This is a very easy to use slow cooker and is virtually foolproof, worth buying this slightly more expensive model over the more basic types as you can get more control out of it. Especially like the stay auto stay warm feature when timer has finished cooking. Would highly recommend this product.

Not happy with it, so returned it for a swap. As it warmed up the glue on the front control panel also warmed up and the panel fell off. It would not stay put when replaced. Also when I washed the lid soapy water got beneath the knob, it was not sealed. It was probably safe but I didn't like it.

It works fine, however within minutes of first switching on, the label (that tells which button is which) just fell off. So it looks scruffy and we won't be able to easily use the functions. No option to contact seller privately obvious so have had to use review function...but is unlikely to be an isolated fault I think.

The shape and the size are really good. I fall in love with it. But unfortunately I had 2 and both of them were faulty. The temperature on inside was uneven and didn't cooked properly. Had to return them.

I'd been thinking of buying a slow cooker/ crock pot for a wee whie. I decided to buy this one from Prestige. I have not been disappointed. It's easy to use and delivers perfect results. I was surprised how affordable these devices are.

(I've read other reviews about the front control panel facade detaching. This has not happened with mine, it's been absolutely fine and is still fully attached.)

Good slow cooker, I got confused with it having a timer as I thought it could be set to turn on after so many hours...it can't. So back to cooking for 10 hours and keeping warm :( cooks evenly though and good family size.
